I always believed in taking notes. Whether in a seminar or a classroom or in a meeting, taking notes keeps me awake and alert. I even carry 3 colored pens everywhere to make my notes look beautiful and fun to read. But what I sorely miss is the skill to draw even basic cartoon figures that will bring the necessary cheer to my notes. I am grateful to these videos that put to rest some of my fears. I am yet to come up with wonderful sketches that capture all the ideas in a meeting, but this gives you all the necessary tools.
Take a look at these two TED talks, the first one gives you a quick 5 minute tutorial on how to draw faces and the second one is a quick guide on how to draw ideas. Beware, you might get hooked!
